WELCOME TO KENTUCKY STRONG WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP TRAINING

We look forward to working with you…

Welcome to the Kentucky Strong Women’s Leadership Training

Kentucky Strong was founded in 2015 with a clear purpose: to support, prepare, and elevate women who are ready to lead in their communities and across the Commonwealth. Women make up more than half of Kentucky’s population and voters, yet their representation in public office remains far below their presence and participation. Our work continues because the need remains.

What the Numbers Reveal About Representation

Kentucky Women Deserve Better!

The data shows a clear gap between the women who make up more than half of the Commonwealth’s population and the level of representation they hold in public leadership. Across the state, the numbers highlight a landscape where women’s voices, experiences, and perspectives are not reflected proportionately in elected roles. This imbalance underscores an ongoing conversation about access, opportunity, and the pathways available to women who want to contribute to Kentucky’s civic and political future.

  • WOMEN MAKE UP 51% OF KENTUCKY’S POPULATION – 51%
  • WOMEN MAKE UP 52% OF THE VOTERS IN KENTUCKY – 77%
  • WOMEN ACCOUNT FOR ONLY 30% OF LEGISLATORS IN KENTUCKY – 30%
  • WOMEN ARE NOT REPRESENTED IN CONGRESS FOR- 0%

Leadership Imbalance

51% of the population. 0% in Congress. Kentucky women deserve better.

Let's Fix This

Women account for over half the voters. Under a third of the seats. The math doesn’t add up.

When Participation Doesn’t Equal Representation

52% of voters. 30% of legislators. Representation shouldn’t be optional.

Women Lead at the Polls but Not in the Legislature

Women lead in turnout but not in office. Let’s change that!

From the Polls to Positions of Power

Kentucky women show up at the polls. It’s time they show up in power.
